Website: rakytovce.obecdigital.sk
Operator: Luxria s.r.o.
1. Accessibility commitment
The website rakytovce.obecdigital.sk is designed and developed to be accessible to the widest possible range of users, including people with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities.
Our goal is compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, which is the internationally recognised web accessibility standard developed by the W3C consortium.
Note on legal context:
The website rakytovce.obecdigital.sk is not a public authority within the meaning of Act No. 95/2019 Coll. on Information Technologies in Public Administration — it is operated by Luxria s.r.o., a private company.
Therefore, it is not subject to a direct legal obligation to achieve WCAG 2.1 AA level under § 14 of that Act.
Nevertheless, we have chosen to voluntarily comply with the newer WCAG 2.2 AA as a commitment to an inclusive website for all residents of the Rakytovce district.
2. Compliance status with WCAG 2.2 AA
Current status: Partially compliant
The website rakytovce.obecdigital.sk is largely compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA, with several known limitations listed below.
3. What we do for accessibility
3.1 Perceivable
- All images have alternative text descriptions (
altattribute). - Text contrast against background meets a minimum ratio of 4.5:1 (normal text) and 3:1 (large text).
- The page is fully readable with CSS styles and images disabled.
- Font size can be changed in the browser without loss of content (responsive design, max zoom 200%).
- No auto-playing audio or video when opening the page.
- Important information never relies on colour alone — it is always supplemented with text or an icon.
3.2 Operable
- Full keyboard navigation — the entire website can be operated via TAB / SHIFT+TAB / ENTER / SPACE / arrows.
- Skip-to-content link — at the beginning of each page there is a "Skip to main content" link.
- Focus indicator — the currently focused element is always visually highlighted (3px outline).
- Touch targets have a minimum size of 44 × 44 pixels (WCAG 2.5.5).
- No timing — no content expires or flashes faster than 3 times per second.
- Links and buttons have clear, descriptive labels (no "Click here").
3.3 Understandable
- Page language is declared in
<html lang="sk">. - Consistent navigation — the main menu is the same on all pages.
- Clear language — texts are written clearly, avoiding unnecessary foreign words where Slovak alternatives exist.
- Form errors are displayed clearly, at the specific field, with a suggested correction.
3.4 Robust
- Valid HTML5 — the code passes the W3C validator without critical errors.
- ARIA attributes are used sparingly and correctly (where HTML5 semantics are not sufficient).
- The website works in all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge — versions from the last 24 months).
- Screen reader compatibility (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) is tested on key pages.
4. Known limitations
Some parts of the website do not yet fully comply with WCAG 2.2 AA. We are working on resolving them.
| Area | Issue | Remediation plan |
|---|---|---|
| Gallery | Lightbox modal does not have optimal keyboard navigation | Q3 2026 |
| Maps (OpenStreetMap embed) | External OSM components are not fully keyboard accessible | Depends on OSM; we are adding alternative text descriptions |
| Some PDF documents | Downloaded PDFs (notice board) are not always screen reader friendly | Gradually replacing with text-only HTML versions |
| Video content (if added) | Does not yet exist, but when added we will ensure captions and transcripts | When content is added |
